MARY JOYCE BAXTER (FISHER) Our dear mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, Mary Joyce Baxter (Fisher), aged 91 years, passed away October 26, 2016, in St. Albert, Alberta. Left to mourn her passing are son Craig (Rhonda) and grandchildren: Bryce (Marie), Colin (Dana), Shane (Melissa), daughter, Shelley (John - deceased), of Edmonton, AB, grandchildren: Jaime (Scott), Dana (Jamie) and son Ron (Deb), of St. Albert, AB and grandchildren: Julie, Chad and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister, Millie Mason, of Winnipeg. Our mother was very proud of her rural heritage. She was raised on the family farm by her widowed mother, in the Oak Bluff area. She was taught values that patterned the way she lived her life. Mary's father died when she and her brothers and sister were all under 15 years of age. She always mourned the loss of her dear brothers, George, Jim, Lloyd, Richard and John. Mother was a loving and caring person. She was a talented seamstress and knit many beautiful blankets and outfits for the less fortunate and was an active volunteer in Winnipeg. Ron and Debbie wish to send out a special thank you to the staff for their wonderful care of our mother at the Citadel Care Centre in St. Albert, AB. Family funeral will be held in Winnipeg in the summer of 2017. Donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Parkinson Society of Manitoba. The strength of her soul will shine on us forever.
