My family has many, many fond memories of Ron and his family. We knew him through the Orange Lodge (Junior Band) and of course the many years he played Santa and kept my kids believing. He will be sadly missed. You kids had a ONE IN A MILLION dad! Roberta - Posted by: Roberta Bullee (Walker) (Friend) on: Nov 07, 2016

My condolences to all of Ron's family. I knew Ron for many years. He drove bus with Winnipeg Transit the same time my dad Peter did. He was always a good friend, neighbour. You could always see him walking the streets of Weston. He always had or made the time to talk with everyone he met. He will truly be missed by many, that have had the honour to know him. RIP my good friend. - Posted by: Denise Funk (Friend) on: Nov 05, 2016

The Alexanders moved into the house across the lane about the time I was born. While we were always welcomed into their home, the real conversations occurred in the lane. The men shared their love of fishing and repairing cars, the women shared stories about kids and family over a hot cup of coffee. It was a time of real community, when neighbours looked out for each other and helped when they could. Ron and Marg are back together again, and we will miss them terribly. We are grateful for their life time of friendship and memories, and extend our deepest condolences to Brian, David, Sandy and Laurie and their families. - Posted by: Cindy and Lloyd (Friends and neighbours) on: Nov 05, 2016

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Transit Heritage Association, we extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Ron's family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Ron played a key role in founding of the Manitoba Transit Heritage Association, and served as our first President from 1989 until 1997. His knowledge, dedication to historic preservation and commitment to community, among other admirable qualities, will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Alan Brunsel, Linley James and Alex Regiec (Colleague & Friends) on: Nov 05, 2016
