Mother, I know that you did not want to go. But God wanted you to come with him and so you will always be missed and loved by your only son. And one day we shall meet again and all be together in the morning sunshine dawn. By Ken Deren - Posted by: Ken Deren (Son) on: Aug 15, 2018

Mom was a hardworking farm girl who came to the city where she met my father. She worked at many jobs, the longest being as a saleswoman at the May Co. in the Polo Park Shopping Mall. She was liked by many people. Mom was always good to me,and in later years, I looked after her till her passing. Her memory was as sharp as ever, her only problem being a sudden congestive heart failure. She was famous for her cabbage rolls, perogies, borsht soup and baked apple pie and cinnamon buns. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, and sister, Leona. Her brothers, Tom, Harry, Walter, John, and Nick Melnyk, and her Father, and Mother,(Doris Day),are all gone. She leaves one son, Ken Deren, to mourn her passing. God bless you, Mother, for you shall be missed. - Posted by: Ken Deren (Son) on: Aug 15, 2018
