MARIAM ELLEN FINDLAY (nee MACINTOSH) It is with profound sadness that the family of Mariam Ellen Findlay (nee MacIntosh) announces her passing, after a brief but brave battle, on November 5, 2016. Mariam was born in Bath, New Brunswick on August 3, 1949. She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Walter McIntosh; her brother Phillip; and nephew Patrick. She was also predeceased by her beloved collies, Sir Lancelot and Captain Morgan, but survived by Sir Galahad. Mariam is survived by her loving partner, Rodney Ambrose; and stepsons, Grant (Mel and Tyler), Brian (Lynn, Isaiah and Lucas) and Derek (Joy-Anne, Annaliesa, William and Julianne). She is lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings - James McIntosh (Yvonne, Tina, Andrew and Devon), Jocelyn Bichard (Nicholas, Jason, Lee and Aaron), Ethel MacIntosh (Jose Machado, Samantha and Emma) and Leslie McIntosh (Colleen Woods). "Your mind will believe comforting lies while also knowing painful truths that make these lies necessary. And your mind will punish you for believing both." Patrick Ness Mariam was a dedicated and valued employee at the law firm Chapman Goddard and Kagan, where she functioned as the office manager and accountant for 34 years. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Anthony Kaufman, Dr. Saranya Kakumanu and all of the caring staff at RR6, Health Sciences Centre and CancerCare Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba and/or the Winnipeg Humane Society are gratefully appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment scheduled.
