BARRY DEAN HEAD July 6, 1937 November 1, 2016 Sadly, on November 1, 2016, Barry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, with great dignity through Assisted Dying At Home, after a courageous struggle with Cancer. Left to remember him lovingly are his wife of 57 years, Morna; daughter Terry; son-in-law Graeme; sister Sandra (Raimund); sisters-in-law, Heather and Doreen; nieces and nephews. Barry was predeceased by his son David and his brother Wayne. Morna and Barry enjoyed a full and active cottage life, after early retirement from Dow Chemical. He loved to spend time outdoors at his home on Salt Spring Island gardening, golfing, wood turning and building model trains. Barry loved playing Old Timers Hockey with the Old Crows in Sidney for many years. No more ferries Dad - Enjoy your bike ride. In keeping with Barry's wishes, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Those wishing to honour his memory may do so by making a donation in his name to their favourite charity or to the Dying With Dignity Canada Program.
