She leaves behind to share in her memories her children, Darlene and Donald, Betty (Jim Jr.'s wife), Billy and Liz, Rhoda and Ted, Carol (Steve 2007), Joy and Ken, Kathy and Vik, Jeannette and Stephen, Adele and Guy, Roy and Liz. As well, she leaves her sister Eileen Cox; her brother Stu Larocque and his wife and Mom`s life long friend and confidant Eunice Larocque. With dozens of generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren they too will share the stories and memories along with all her nieces, nephews, cousins and of course her crazy amount of friends with special mention to Judy, Diane and Brenda. Mom will surely be missed but knowing she is at peace and out of pain makes this transition in life a little easier for us left behind. Mom will never be forgotten and will forever remain in our hearts, our memories and our daily teachings. Rest in peace Mom. Funeral services will be held at Cropo Funeral Home at 1442 Main St. on November 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. There will be no burial service. It is requested anyone attending the service wear an item of purple.

I have admired you for your strength and wisdom over the years since meeting your family in Winnipeg when ours moved there in 1961. You have had a lot to deal with over the years with losing Jim at such an early age and raising your children on your own. You did a great job and now you can take time for you. I will miss you as I always considered you as my second mom and support when I needed. Thanks again for being there for me and rest in peace with Jim. Auntie Bert was one of my favorite people in the world. She always spoke the truth & could always make me smile. I know that she is with her Lord & Savior - & probably playing Scrabble with my mom. She was dearly loved by both of us & we will miss "Bert Baby." - Posted by: Vivian & Rick Tavenor (Niece) on: Nov 15, 2016
