PAUL FRANKLIN VERWEY After a courageous battle with cancer, Paul Verwey passed away on November 11, 2016 surrounded by love. He was 53 years old. Paul was Dad to his daughters Samantha and Meghan (Bruno Freitas) and Papa to Kaida and Damien. Also left to remember him are his mother Grace; brothers Dave (Cindy Bremner) and Tim (Doris); sisters Wendy (Denis Snaith), Bonni (Courtney Smith), Deb (Pete Dick) and Penny (Kevin Donald); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Paul was predeceased by his father John G. Verwey; sister-in-law Penny; brother-in-law Warren; great-niece Charleigh, and chosen nephew Mark. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church, 15 Tupper Street S., Portage, MB, led by Rev. Julie Baker. A private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to a place close to Paul's heart in support of his granddaughter Kaida, CDKL5 Research, 55 Glen Road, Toronto, ON M4W 2V3 would be appreciated.
