VIOLET DOROTHY BOHN February 6, 1934 - November 10, 2016 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Violet Dorothy Bohn. Mom was predeceased by her first love and husband Arthur, parents Eric and Lena Fenning, brothers Arnold, Lorne, Herbie, Dave and Russell, sisters Margaret, Myrtle, Florence, Alice, Mae and Audrey. Violet leaves to mourn her passing, her children, Darrel (Gordon) and Pam (Stephan); grandchildren, Kevin (Courtney) and Alexander; her sister Evelyn; and brothers Brian (Lorraine) and Harvey. In her earlier years she would play guitar and sing in the family band at many local dances and weddings, as well as the church choir. She enjoyed her sewing and would always dress herself and her daughters in the same dresses. In her retirement years Mom could always be found with her two sisters Mae and Evelyn. These three looked and dressed so much alike that folks would always confuse who was who. Mom enjoyed her Friday nights working with the crew at the Moosehorn bingo. She cherished her trips with her sisters and her niece Denise (the only one brave enough to take all three aunts) and would talk about those trips for years. She treasured her grandsons and loved to talk about them every chance she got. A big thank you to the ambulance crew who brought her into Winnipeg and all the doctors and nurses who cared for Mom. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in her memory be made to the Hilbre Cemetery, care of Judy Hickman, Box 18, Hilbre, MB R0C 1L0.
