Condolences & Memories (16 entries)

  • I knew Zach from Sorrento's. Although we only met a few times I was always impressed with his sincerity and his humour. He was a genuine person with many stories to tell. He was always caring and understanding. Hearing about his passing really shook me. I send my condolences to his family and friends. He will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Derek Loewen (Friend) on: Dec 09, 2016

  • I moved in the summer before grade 5. I don't honestly remember much about that school but I remembered Zach. He was always so funny and bright and we weren't allowed to sit next to each other. One day he told me he had a crush on me. The next day he claimed it was his evil twin. I have few good memories of elementary school. He was one of them. I'm so sorry for all of his friends and family. That's a loss I can't begin to comprehend. - Posted by: Megan Smith (School friend from Beaumont) on: Nov 30, 2016

  • Dear Irene, My heart is with you in sorrow and grief at the loss of your precious grandson, Zachary. It is difficult to lose someone you love at any time but it is especially heart breaking to lose a child. No words can take away the pain you are feeling now, but know others share your sorrow. My heartfelt condolences to you, Irene, and all your family. May you find peace and comfort in the difficult days ahead. - Posted by: E. Hawrysh (A friend of Irene's) on: Nov 28, 2016

  • I had such a crush on him back in the day. I'd always walk by Co-op hoping he was working. Didn't officially meet him until a Halloween event where we both really clicked. Such a great guy and so easy to talk. Absolutely loved his sense of humour. He was a good person and it completely broke me hearing about his passing. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Rest in Peace, Zach Hucall - Posted by: Lissa Johannson () on: Nov 28, 2016

  • I am devastated to hear of this fine young man’s passing and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It has been a few years since I taught Zach at Charleswood School but have thought of him so many times since he graduated from grade 9. Zach was always happy to help me carry groceries or assist with classroom tasks in the Home Ec. lab. Zach always had such a big heart. He was polite, respectful, and genuinely cared about people. He was a friend to all who knew him. A donation has been made in memory of Zach to the Winnipeg Humane Society. - Posted by: Ms. Paige Zentner (Former Teacher) on: Nov 27, 2016
