Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNOREEN SKENE January 1, 1918 - Cappagh, County Kerry, Ireland November 21, 2016 - Calgary, Alberta Noreen Skene passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the age of 98 years. Born in Ireland, Noreen went to London during the Second World War. At the end of the war, she came to Canada as a war bride and fell in love with her new country. Noreen took great pride in becoming a Canadian. She spent many years in Dauphin, Manitoba where she raised her family. She spent her early retirement years in Winnipeg, relocating to Calgary in 2003 to be with Peggy when her health began to fail. Noreen is survived by her children, Bob and daughter-in-law Germaine, Peggy McCoy and son-in-law Ed, Greg and Kerry; grandchildren, Cheryl Saranchuk and grandson-in-law Jeff, Michelle Rampitsch and grandson-in-law Chris, Sean McCoy and granddaughter-in-law Stacia, and Kyle McCoy; great-grandchildren, Mathew, Luke and Andrew Saranchuk, Yann and Sayuri Rampitsch and Benjamin McCoy. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Gerard's Catholic Church, 8944 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cran and all members of the care team at Richard's Way Chinook Intercare for their loving care of Mom.
