ROBERT (BOB) DOLLARD BRODEUR With great sadness the family of Robert Brodeur announces his peaceful passing at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his son Randy (Heather); granddaughters, Kristen and Hayley (Taylor); son Richard (Kimberly); sisters, Diana and Iona (Bill); brother Ken; sister-in-law Diane Versue Haimes. Bob was predeceased by his wife Jean; parents, Arthur Joseph Brodeur and Gabrielle Marie Howika; sisters, Denise, Doreen, and Violet; and father and mother-in-laws, Charles and Helen Haimes. Bob briefly lived in Mariapolis, Manitoba before moving with his family to Winnipeg in 1942. He met his wife Jean of 45 years in Winnipeg and they eventually settled in Fort Rouge. They enjoyed many years of camping at Nutimuk and Dorothy Lakes, along with many family and friend poker nights. He spent the majority of his work career with B.A. Robinson and spent his semi-retirement working for St. Vital Electric. The family wishes to thank the tenants and staff of Kiwanis Plaza, his friends at Fort Garry Legion Number 90, and his circle of friends at "Tapps" for their support. Special thanks to Marg Brenan for her care and support of Dad. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place, A service of remembrance will take place in June of 2017. Donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
