Date of Passing: Nov 07, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILDRED ALICE TOWLE Our dear aunt Mildred Towle passed away at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg on November 7, 2016. She has resided at the Kiwanis Metropolitan Courts on Ness Avenue for 13 years; made many dear friends and enjoyed her surroundings very much after her husband Garnet passed away in 2003. Mildred was born in Winnipeg and lived all her life there. She and Garnie loved to travel in their motorhome and made the trip to Alaska several times. She enjoyed entertaining and excelled at baking. We remember her as a loving aunt who always had time for us. She was predeceased by her husband Garnie; sister Elizabeth (Betty); sister Hazel Florentine; and brother-in-law Harry Florentine. She is survived by niece Judy Gorchynski; and nephews, Gary and Neil Florentine. We would like to thank Dr. Elin Bergman, her assistant Allison and caregiver Barb Stacyshyn, and dear friend Kathy Kozak for their thoughtful care and the staff at the Kiwanis Courts. Mildred loved her dogs Rusty and Cindy and contributed generously to the Humane Society. At her request no service will be held. Her ashes have been placed next to Garnie on the memorial wall at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
