EVA MAE DOWNEY
Born: Feb 14, 1929
Date of Passing: Dec 03, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA MAE DOWNEY Peacefully in the early hours of December 3, 2016, at Middlechurch Home, Eva passed away. Her family and friends are deeply saddened but are comforted that she is in a better place and reunited with her husband Ron. Eva was born February 14, 1929 to Louis and Ann Mabb in Fisher Branch, MB where she grew up with her three sisters on the family farm. She married Ron August 23, 1952 and they were very happily married for almost 64 years. Family was most important to Mom and her three daughters, Leanne (Darren), Sherri (Victor) and Lisa (Donovan), were her source of pride and joy. She loved our shopping trips and treating us to lunch. Her heart overflowed with love for her six grandchildren: Brad (Paula), Bryan (Celine), Eric, Brittany (Daniel), Kelly (Ryan) and Brayden, and she adored her three great-grandchildren: Maria, Julian and Brooklyn. Gardening was her passion and she could grow anything. Her garden at their home in Windsor Park was filled with amazing colour and variety of flowers. Her other talents were knitting and crocheting and loved making things for others. Her small but homey little kitchen saw many, many guests who knew they were always welcome to drop by at any time. A special thank you to her niece Iris who took such good care of her and always made sure Mom looked her best. Also to the wonderful staff at Middlechurch for their care and kindness. A celebration of her wonderful life will be Friday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Eve, my friend...I have so many fun and fond memories of you and Ron and your Family. There are days that I would love to go back to our Arundel Road Days...There are many of you now our Angels watching over us until we come to join you. I pray for your family as they gather to celebrate your life and send you home. Sorry I was not able to be there today to give your loved ones a Hug...I will see you, Ron, Ken and the other angels one day and we will again laugh about the fun days. May God be with your family and friends and grant them peace. I know my Mom Anne will be waiting for you to come and visit her garden...Saying Prayers for all and sending Love.
