PETER BACHINSKI March 30, 1928 December 7, 2016 It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Peter Bachinski, loving husband of Mary for 66 years, and caring father to three sons; Larry (Cheryl), Brian (Sheree), and Christopher (Kimberly). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jordan, Alysha, Matthew (Anne), Katrina (Steven), Jodie (Philip), Lauren (Dallas), Caleb, Joshua (Andrea), Caitlyn, Elijah and great-grandson Jude. Sadly he will miss the birth of his great-granddaughter. Peter grew up in the Arborg area the youngest of his many siblings. He learned to work hard on the family farm. As a young man he moved to the City working at a variety of jobs eventually leasing a Texaco service station and starting Alpine Messenger. His love for flying moved him to obtain his private pilot's license and his family recall many exciting "adventures". Peter's generosity and kindness touched many lives. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Peter enjoyed a wonderful promise for the future, living forever on a paradise earth reunited with his family as promised in the Bible. (Acts 24:15) Peter endured his illness with courage and dignity, lovingly cared for by his wife and family. Mary would like to thank Peter's spiritual brothers and sisters, staff of the Seine River Retirement Residence, the many homecare workers, and their family physician Dr. Dyck. A family memorial has already taken place. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to River Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses or the Alzheimer's Society.

  • I worked at Alpine for a few years and Peter was a great boss and even better person. He always had a kind word and was encouraging and supportive of his staff. I have fond memories of him and am sorry to be late with my condolences. - Posted by: Scott van Slyck (Former Employee) on: Jul 10, 2018

  • Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this sad time. We know that you will receive comfort from the wonderful hope held out for our loved ones that Jehovah, the God of all comfort promises. In the meantime, we have 'fellow feeling' for your family and look forward to seeing our dear friend when he wakes up healthy and happy in the Paradise to come. • It saddened our hearts to hear of Peters passing. We still have fond memories of both him and Mary when we first moved into Fort Rouge Congregation from Saskatchewan. We were a young pioneer couple who were having a hard time financially and for some reason Peter could sense it so he took it upon himself to buy us 'winter tires' for our pioneer vehicle. A very generous person. May Jehovah be with all the family at this time. - Posted by: Kushniruk A&E (Family Friends) on: Dec 21, 2016

  • Our condolences to the entire Bachinski family on your loss. - Posted by: Gail Jackson (Former employee) on: Dec 19, 2016

  • Lauren & Dallas, Sheree and all your family I was so sad to hear about the loss of your dear, dear husband, father, grandfather. Peter was such a dear, sweet man with the greatest sense of humour. I have such fond memories from my early days in the truth being encouraged to join that early morning business service group of which Peter was an integral part!!! What a wonderful introduction to service it was and what absolutely fun times that group had together serving Jehovah. I so look forward to meeting Peter again in Jehovah's new world where Peter will be young and vital again and I'm sure full of his wonderful good humour! Love and warm hugs to you all~Bonny Rogers - Posted by: Bonny Rogers (Friend) on: Dec 19, 2016

  • Peter: Our paths crossed a number of years ago. In a time of need you hired me on as a professional driver for your company. Little did I know at that time that it would be for Canada's only Petroleum Company. Many thanks. God Bless. - Posted by: Gordon (former employee) on: Dec 17, 2016

  • Please accept my sincere sympathy. I remember conversations we had at the lake. The words of John Magee from his poem "High Flight" seem appropriate at this time: "Oh I have slipped the surly bonds of earth... Reached out my hand and touched the face of God." - Posted by: Sister Alice Konefall (friend from West Hawk Lake) on: Dec 17, 2016

  • No words can express how sorry I am hear about Peter. I found Peter to be the nicest Person you can meet. He was a down to Earth Person and a true Gentleman. - Posted by: Al Hirsch (Knew Peter when I was selling Cars) on: Dec 17, 2016

  • We wish to express our deepest condolences to Mary his wife, and family. - Posted by: Orest &Jean Bylyna (Long time friend & flying buddy.) on: Dec 16, 2016
