I remember Clarence as a "gentle giant" while working at TransX. He was very patient, professional and a great role model for the many new drivers entering the trucking industry. My sincere condolences in your loss. - Posted by: Marion Krause (friend from work) on: Dec 11, 2016

I first met Gene & Sonny when I moved onto Aberdeen St in 1975, I was only 22 yrs old. They became great friends of mine. After I moved away I would run into them in various shopping centres. Sonny would always have a joke or tease me to make me laugh. I would call Gene often to see how everyone was. I didn't know of Gene's passing & I am shocked. If I had known I would of been there. My condolences to the Sanderson family. Heaven has gained two awesome angels. - Posted by: Heather Woodfield Nowak (friend) on: Dec 10, 2016

I had the pleasure of meeting Clarence at Transx and as I had met many long time friends from Transx. But Clarence really stood out. As I got on a steady run to Vancouver and back I always ran at least one rounder with Clarence. I had listened to his many stories of his George Smith days and how at this curve this happens and this pull he did this and so on. I can say honestly I respected no one person more than Clarence. We had many fun times at the terminal in Vancouver. As I have moved on to other companies to drive for I fondly recall his stories and smile. I did unexpectedly run into Clarence last year when I was coming out of the seven oaks hospital and I was thrilled to see him and how many years have hardly changed him. You will be thought of many more times old friend and till our roads cross, I will sign off and wish you happy trails. - Posted by: Robert Murray (Friend ) on: Dec 10, 2016

Clarence was one of the first friends I made when I started at TransX in 1990. We hooked up a few times and chased each other across the country. I enjoyed my times with Clarence when and wherever we would meet, he could always brighten your day if it wasn't going well. Since I moved on I always kept my eyes open for him hoping to sit down again with him for a meal or a coffee but our paths never crossed . My condolences to the Sanderson family and Clarence's numerous friends, Clarence was a good man and a good friend. He will be missed. Farewell my friend, rest in peace Clarence. - Posted by: David Ross (Friend) on: Dec 10, 2016
