FRANK ALEXANDER MAZUR
Born: Sep 02, 1930
Date of Passing: Dec 10, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK ALEXANDER MAZUR It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather Frank Alexander Mazur. Dad returned to the home of Our Lord and was reunited with his beloved Doreen on the early morning of Saturday, December 10, 2016. Left to cherish his memory are his five children, Cal (Rita), Patrice Elson (Richard), Bruce (Paulette), Kenneth (Michelle) and Kathleen (Salah Taguri); his most beloved sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Frank was born on September 2, 1930 to Anne and Stanley Mazur. He was raised in Winnipeg, along with his brother Ken and his sister Noel Wagner (Donald). His work career spanned forty years with the Manitoba Telephone System (MTS). Frank worked in many areas of MTS. Among his colleagues, he earned tremendous respect, both for his work ethic and management skills. Frank touched many lives through his roles as husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His quiet charisma and humility enabled him to engage with anyone and everyone. Frank had a natural ability to put everyone at ease, irrespective of their circumstance or background. This inevitably led to meaningful and enduring friendships. Dad's greatest joys were his family and his faith. To his family he leaves the gift of his unfailing love, his confidence in their future and the understanding that real success is measured in dignity and strength of character. Faith was the foundation of Dad's life. It shaped his character and guided him in everything he did. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Brebeuf Parish (1707 John Brebeuf Place, Winnipeg), with Rev. Fr. Mark A. Tarrant officiating. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the health care professionals who supported Dad throughout his journey. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CNIB Manitoba, St. John Brebeuf School Bursary Fund, or the Rady JCC Fitness Centre. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Frank was my first supervisor when I joined the MTS Plant Staff Group in his budget section. He followed me to the Commercial Staff Group when I was promoted there. He was always professional and supportive to me, a rookie in a new work setting, and for that I appreciated him all the more. Sincere regrets to the family. He was a nice guy. - Posted by: Bob Beavis (Co-worker) on: Mar 06, 2021

Frank was a wonderful friend and associate at the Rady Centre for eighteen years. We have all enjoyed his friendly demeanor and his cheerful attitude. As well, his sartorial style was outstanding always! The world is a lesser place for Frank's loss, but Heaven is the winner. God Bless You, Frank! - Posted by: Brock Cordes (Friend) on: Dec 19, 2016

I was saddened to learn of Frank's passing while browsing the obituaries in the barber shop. Frank was a nice man with a great smile. I was fortunate to meet him back in the 1970's when he was president of C.I.M.a position I too attained a few years after I graduated the program. I met his son Bruce through business and golf a number of years later. Bruce was kind to exchange Hellos between his Dad and I. I send my sincere condolences to all of Frank's Fred Miller - Posted by: Fred Miller (Friend) on: Dec 13, 2016
