Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARILYN ISABEL HALL Unexpectedly, during the night of December 8, 2016, our beloved Marilyn, went to meet her Lord. A woman of strong faith, she was a lifelong member of Knox United Church, where sang in the choir and served on many boards and committees. Born in 1931, she was raised in Fort Garry and attended General Steele, General Byng and Gordon Bell High school. She graduated as an RN from Children's Hospital School of Nursing in 1954 and attended the School of Nursing at the University of Western Ontario (London). She nursed at the University of Alberta Hospital and the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg, retiring in 1991. She was an active member of the Peter Pan Club at Children's for many years. Marilyn was predeceased by parents, Jim and Alice Hall and sister Helen. She leaves behind to mourn her passing, the Duval family, the MacDonald Clan, the Nagtegaals, the Andersons and many others who knew and loved her. She loved her home at Fred Douglas Place and was one of the original tenants, moving there in 1989, when it opened. Marilyn loved life, travelling, singing in the DMCI Alumni Choir, summers at the Anderson cottage at Winnipeg Beach and sharing special times with the MacDonalds in British Columbia or wherever they could be together. She was an avid curling and Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan. She drew people to her with her unselfish love, caring, thoughtfulness and kindness and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Foundation (re: Duval Foundation-Knox Church), the Lung Association or the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation.
