DORA WAINTMAN (nee BERGER) Dora passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband Harry and siblings, Kiwa Berger, Eva Chodos, Jake Berger and Lea Pinchuk and is survived by her brother Usher Berger and numerous nephews and nieces. Dora grew up on a farm homesteaded by her parents in Unger, Saskatchewan. Her childhood years encompassed the great depression and difficult times. In her adult years, she moved to Winnipeg where she continued her education and became a dietician. She worked for the City of Winnipeg for many years before her retirement. Fiercely independent, she lived her life on her own terms and remained in her own house until her death. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at Congregation Etz Chayim, 123 Matheson Avenue East on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 12:00 noon with a reception to follow at 341 Baltimore Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Private Shiva.
