HERBERT WRUCK Dad passed away peacefully with his family at his side on the morning of December 10, 2016, at the age of 78. Dad was predeceased by his wife Ursula, his parents Rudolph and Emma and his brothers Oscar, Walter and Bernard. Dad will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son Michael (Janelle); brothers Eric (Faith), Leonard (Elsie) and Gordon (Carolyn); sisters Elma (Harold), Adaline (Cliff) and Edna (Ralph); his step-grandchild Noah, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, step-sons Reinhold, Detlef, Hardy, Heinz and Alfred Dohmann and all extended family and friends. Dad was born in Saskatoon, SK on September 6, 1938. His family later moved to Manitou, MB to start a small farm. In 1954, the family moved to Lundar, MB to pursue a larger beef farm. Later in life Dad took over the family farm from my grandparents. On August 13, 1977 Dad married the love of his life, my Mom Ursula. 1984 Dad and Mom adopted me. Dad continued farming until 1995 while he battled and beat cancer. On January 29, 2009, Dad lost his soul mate, my Mom, to cancer. Farming was in Dad's blood. He also liked collecting model tractors, being a handyman around the farm, helping Mom in the greenhouse, spending time in the garden, enjoyed a little cooking and listening to good music, as well as having coffee with family and friends. Being a Jehovah Witness, Dad had the hope of a resurrection and life forever on paradise Earth (Act 24:15). In keeping with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. We will host a Celebration of Life Memorial at the farm on August 13, 2017 on what would have been their 40th wedding anniversary. We will be spreading the ashes of Mom and Dad together over the garden where they spent lots of time together. We would like to thank all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale as well as his Home Care staff in Lundar for all the great care. We love and miss you, Dad. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I am sorry to hear of your loss Micheal, losing you father. I have many fond memories of Herb. He was the Best Man at our Wedding in 1957. He always had a warm friendly smile. I also remember Herb being a hard worker on the farm and how he spent many hours working in the garden. When Wally and I visited him he showed us so many pictures of what he had done. Many years ago Herb sent us a large parcel of beef how thankful we were, that was when the boys were small. Now I really look forward to the resurrection seeing Herb back healthy and young. Who knows he may come back with his brothers Wally, Oscar, Bernard and his Mother and Father 😍💝😍💝😍 Orlen - Posted by: Orlen wruck (Sister in law) on: Dec 23, 2016

  • We share the loss of your Dad and our brother. I remember holding him and rocking him to sleep in the rocking chair when he was just a baby. We are thinking of you Michael at this sad time but we are comforted with the knowledge that we will see him again when he comes back to life in a paradise earth and there will be no more sickness or death. We send you our love. Elma and Harold Piller - Posted by: Elma and Harold Piller (Sister and brother in-law) on: Dec 20, 2016

  • Have many fond memories of Herb as we all grew up together on the farm, doing our chores together, playing together, getting into mischief together, walking a mile and a half to school and in the wintertime going to school with horse and sleigh. We are sure you will miss him Michael, we are sorry for your loss and are thinking of you at this sad time. We are sure you made many happy memories with your Dad and you can recall these from time to time and these will bring you comfort. We look forward to seeing him again and sharing our memories with him when he comes back to life on a beautiful paradise earth.
