VICTOR C. ARMISHAW It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Victor C. Armishaw who peacefully passed away at Concordia Hospital on Tuesday, December 12, 2016. Victor was born on July 12,1935 on the family farm. Son of Bert and Vera Armishaw in the Hood District of Manitoba. He attended Hood School, worked on the family farm and later worked on a farm at Poplar Point. As a young man he moved to Winnipeg and was employed by Powell Equipment and later he worked at CN Rail until his retirement in 1993. Victor will be lovingly missed by his daughter Laurie (Trevor); grandson Colby; and sons, David and Chris; and their mother Beverly Armishaw (Nykoluk). Victor is survived by his brother and sisters, Delbert, Shirley, Gail, Beth, Joyce and many nieces and nephews. Victor is predeceased by his parents Bert and Vera Armishaw and his brothers, Jim, Ronnie and Wesley. Victor loved all things associated with mechanics. He loved to dance, read and the outdoors. He enjoyed family gatherings, sports and liked being involved with his children's many activities. He also enjoyed trips to Rice Lake and Grand Beach. For the past many years he happily resided at East Park Lodge in Transcona. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital for the excellent care they gave Victor over the last few months. Prayers will be held at Park Manor Personal Care Home Chapel in Transcona on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Victor's life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion on Regent Avenue from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Diabetes Society of Manitoba.
