Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD JUDD November 22, 1929 - December 10, 2016 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Lloyd at Grace Hospital with his wife at his side on December 10, 2016. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Rose, of 52 years, sons, David and Robert (Jeanne), grandson David, Jr., and granddaughter, Jessica, brother Bruce Judd of Penticton, B.C. and sister Shirley Wagner of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Lloyd worked tireless for the Kinsmen Club, for Lions Clubs International and for Charleswood in Motion Days. He was well known as the man who never said no to requests to take on a volunteer assignment. He was employed by St. Pauls High School at the time of his accident that left him confined to a wheelchair for his last 38 years but that never stopped him from the leadership role he played with the energy he displayed giving impressive example to his fellowman. He cheerfully gave of himself to others always putting their needs before his own. With the generous giving nature he displayed, he was a true friend to many who will miss him dearly. Lloyd led by example. He performed his tasks with superlative ease which was often recognized by the many awards that were presented to him, too many to enumerate here but suffice it to say that he proudly received the highest honor awarded by Lions International, the Melvin Jones Fellowship. His many travels took him to Eastern Canada and throughout the Midwest USA. He served as the Chairman of the Canadian Diabetes Association (1991-2014) and was a generous supporter of the Guide Dogs Program in Oakville, Ontario. Our sincere thanks go out to We Care Home Services. Lloyd you have finished the race. You have fought the good fight. Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba with a reception to follow at Chapel Lawn.

Uncle Lloyd was great at always making you smile, he would tease and push your buttons any chance he got. I will never forget the many parades and Charleswood in Motion Days spent volunteering and enjoying all life's treasures. You helped shape me into the person I am today and for that I will always thank you. May you rest in paradise and I'll see you again some day, until then my friend. I just want to express my sincere heartfelt condolences to Lloyd's wife Rose, Robert, and Jeanne. Also to their niece Dorothy who was a constant presence and help to them during my time with the family. I had the pleasure of being one of Lloyd's caregivers over time, and he was all that and more than an obituary could hold. I will miss him, and miss his family I have gotten to know over time. May God ease your burden you are experiencing at this time. Kelli - Posted by: Kelli (Caregiver) on: Dec 17, 2016
