GEORGE DONALD FOX
Date of Passing: Dec 10, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE DONALD (DON) FOX On Saturday, December 10, 2016, George Donald Fox passed away peacefully. Left to survive Don are his sisters Dorothy Moffatt of Markdale, Ontario and Mary (Doug) Easterbrook of Toronto, Ontario, and five nieces and nephews all in Ontario. He is also survived by longtime friends, Barry and Sharon Burke and their family. Don was born in Toronto, Ontario on July 30, 1930, son of George William Fox born in Kettleby, Ontario and Helena Mary (Wood) born in Schomberg, Ontario. For many years Don worked for National Cash Register (NCR) as a technician. However, Don's real love was the outdoors. He loved canoeing, snowmobiling, motorcycles, and at one time, owned his own plane. He was a Scout leader and organized many canoe trips with the Scouts. He also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitoba. In compliance with Don's wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. Interment will be held in Ontario in the spring. We would like to thank the staff on the third floor of Golden West Centennial Lodge and especially Wendy Southall for the excellent care Don received. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to "Boy Scouts of Greater Winnipeg" or the charity of your choice.
