Mr Beach, known as Chris Beach was my elementary teacher in grade 4 - 5 at David livingstone elementary school. He was the best teacher i have ever had. I have vivid memories of him telling us stories about hunting and how he got the bear claw necklace he always wore. Also about his nephew who was a son to him named adam beach. He always had a special place in my heart because he was so kind, passionate, and awesome. He told the best stories and was an amazing role model. He taught us how to sing the bear song for an assembly and ive still remebered the lyrics nearly 10 years later. Im so sad to hear of his passing so late, may his soul rest in peace. Thanks for everything mr beach. - Posted by: Nikki (Former student ) on: Apr 05, 2023

I met Chris when we were both inpatients at the Rehab. We got to talking, and had some good conversations. After I was discharged, we would still talk when I went to the Big Gym once a week. I was disappointed when I arrived one day and Chris was no longer there. I have two gifts from him; his CD, which my husband and I listen to and his play, "Indian Joe Blow". The play was difficult to read, but Joey's story is difficult. I respect Chris for not softening the harshness of what happened to a child because he was indigenous. My favourite songs on the CD are 'Maano", and "Mama's Metis Eyes" I am sad today because I considered Chris to be a friend. I am sad for your loss.
