HERMAN GALL It is with great sadness that we announce the quiet passing of Herman Erdmann Gall on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, with family at his side. Herman was born October 26, 1933 in the Bayton District west of Moosehorn, MB. He attended the Bayton School and (St. Thomas) Bayton Lutheran Church. He farmed most of his life on the family farm. He worked for a short time in the mine at Bellmore Town, ON, which is where he bought his accordion. Later he worked for Pool Construction and then ran his own construction company along with running the Moosehorn Rec Centre with his wife and family. Shortly after this, he semi-retired with Myrtle on the Tober family farm. They later moved into town where Herman resided until his passing. On May 16, 1964, Herman married Frances Stolwyk and they had three children. Herman was known for his love for music and playing his accordion. He also loved fishing, hunting, gardening and bird watching. He loved time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was especially known for his sense of humour. Herman was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elisa Gall; brothers, Harold in infancy and Arnold; sisters and brothers-in-law Hilda (Walter) Bittner and Hertha (Russell) Campbell, also daughter-in-law Kim Gall. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn, MB with Dawn Tober officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the Church. Interment will be held in the St. Thomas Cemetery for pallbearers and immediate family only.
