Ed and I and my wife Aggie grew up in the Boissevain area and attended Sunday School and services at the Whitewater Mennonite church together. When we were in our young age Ed and I used to meet in Boissevain at the local confectionary to have ice cream and a cream soda. In the early 50,s Ed and I played on the Strathallen fastball team that won many tournaments. We also pitched sheaves for the Smith brothers threshing.During his lifetime Ed made substantial contributions through his sermons, deeds and feelings. We extend our sincere condolences to Alice and the Cornelson family. Vern and Aggie Fast, Surrey,BC - Posted by: Vern Fast (Friend since 1940) on: Jan 02, 2017

Dear Karen and Tony...I just read about Ed and I wanted to express my sincere condolences to you and your family. As you know I have known your dad over the years and always appreciated his sincerity, his devotion and his good humor. The last official function he performed for our family as I remember is officiating at my grandfather's funeral. He was a good man your father and he will be missed. I want to wish you faith and courage as you mourn his loss. I am writing from Arizona but will make a point of connecting with you personally when I get home in March.
