PATRICIA JOYCE SILVARI (nee TINNEY) August 15, 1935 - January 2, 2017 Peacefully, and surrounded by her loving daughters, Patricia passed away on the morning of January 2, 2017. She was predeceased by her mother and father, her sister Colleen, daughter Maureen and love of her life, Cesare (Sid) Santini. She is survived by her cherished daughters Gail (Ed), Joanne (Rob), Corrine, Donna (Ivan) and Yolanda (Nick); son Murray, grandchildren Dale, Sara, Keith, Brian, Melanie and Taylor, and numerous great-grandchildren. Patricia was born in Winnipeg in 1935 and was raised on McKenzie Island in Red Lake, Ontario. She later moved to Winnipeg where she began her family and raised her children, instilling in them the values of hard work and sheer tenacity. Patricia spent her retirement years at the lake with her later husband Dom, where she always welcomed her girls and grandchildren for a summer visit. Never a dull visit, she was always full of advice, helpful hints, and loving words when they were needed the most. She took great pride in her home and knew just how to make each and every room beautiful with her own special touch. Patricia always had a wonderful sense of humour, reflected in her contagious laughter and her mischievous smile. When it came to family, Patricia loved hers above all else and she will be deeply missed by all of us. Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Victoria Hospital for their excellent care over the years and in Patricia's last days. A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion located at 1748 Main Street on January 8 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, so that her love for animals may endure. If love could have spared you, you would have lived forever.
