JEAN DUDYCH
Born: Oct 28, 1944
Date of Passing: Dec 30, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN DUDYCH (nee BESTELECHMAN) October 28, 1944 - December 30, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean, with her family by her side, at the age of 72 years. She will be sadly missed by her beloved children Dee, Ron (Audrey), Sandra (Tom) Pochuk, and Sheryl (Tim) Konechny, her dear grandchildren Kaitlan (Craig) Schreyer, Dylan (Breanne), Jordyn (Brent), Kevin (Shari), Megan, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother John Bestelechman, brother-in-law Mike Borowski, sisters Leona (Nels) Jensen, Julie (Bill) Sass and Vonda (Ron) Derksen. She was predeceased by her husband Dennis, parents William and Anne Bestelechman, brother Walter, sister Olga Borowski, and sister-in-law Ann Bestelechman. Jean was born and raised with her identical twin sister Julie, along with her other siblings, in Fork River, MB until the family moved to Winnipeg in 1962. She worked at Eatons as a salesclerk where she met her husband Dennis and they were married in 1964. They settled in Hazelridge, MB where they raised their family. Jean worked hard as a farmer's wife, mother and grandmother and taught her children to be caring, compassionate, loving people and to respect the teachings of God. She always had a large garden and was well known for her perogies and holubtsi. She was an avid curler where she received many awards. While working the farm with Dennis and raising the family, Jean was very involved with the community and an active member of the Ladies Society with the Cooks Creek Immaculate Conception church. The sacrifices of Mother and Grandmother were something she did selflessly and from her heart. When her family was happy she was happy. Mom was always the glue of the family. In 1982, Jean and Dennis bought cottage property in Lac du Bonnet where the family enjoyed many years together and made many life long friends. In 2010 they sold the family farm and moved to Lac du Bonnet for the summer and spent the winters in Yuma, Arizona until Mom could no longer travel. As Mom's illness progressed, she resided at Pembina Place Personal Care Home until her passing. Thank you to all of our friends and family for their love and support. We would also like to send a special thank you to the Pembina Place caregivers for making Mom comfortable over the last couple of years. The family would also like to send a special thank you to Holly Fjeldsted for all her guidance, love and support with both Mom and Dad over these past few years. A private family service has taken place with Father Taras Kowch officiating. An interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Birds Hill Park at a later date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. VICHNAYA PAMYAT wwwseasonsfunerals.ca

It is with sorrowful hearts that we wish to extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to the children and grandchildren of your dearest and beautiful Mother and Grandmother. May it bring you peace to know that she has been united for eternity with the love of her life, Dennis--your Father and Grandfather. They have left their children and extended families much before their time. It seems like yesterday, that as a young teenager, I danced at their wedding. From the first time your Dad brought his beautiful bride-to-be to Sts. Peter and Paul's Ukrainian Catholic Church, because of your Mother's outgoing and lovely personality, we became friends. They are both missed deeply by all those who had the pleasure to know and love them. God Bless you all and may He give you strength to carry you through this difficult time. - Posted by: Valerie (nee Krawchuk) and Tony Kent (Friends) on: Jan 13, 2017

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing, she was a wonderful lady, very warm and compassionate. Your parents were very kind and loving toward my brother. We know that Jeannie had a very strong faith in Jesus and now the Lord has called her home where she will enjoy peace and love beyond what is offered on this earth. Sorry for your loss, but rejoicing that Jeannie is in a beautiful place called Heaven. - Posted by: Lorna & David Doolan (Friends) on: Jan 07, 2017

Our family enjoyed the great hospitality of the Dudych clan. Jean ( and Dennis ) were gracious hosts at their place on Hazelridge Road and really great company at the many big events at Ron and Audrey's. We shared some nice memories. Those kinds of memories will help sustain the Dudych family in this time of sorrow. Rest in peace, Jean. - Posted by: Ron Nowicki and Family (Audrey and Ron's uncle and cousins) on: Jan 07, 2017

We enjoyed many wonderful games of crib with your parents in Lac du Bonnet and Yuma. They brought us wonderful lemons from their Yuma tree and enjoyed their company. We certainly miss their visits. - Posted by: Ron & Marian Stefaniuk (Friends) on: Jan 07, 2017
