JACK WESLEY THOMSON Mr. Jack Wesley Thomson, age 75 years pass away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2017 with his loving family by his side in the St. Joseph's Hospital, Hospice Unit. Jack was born on July 24, 1941 in Morden, MB to parents Duff and Anne Thomson. Jack joined CIBC in 1959 as a banker and with that job it took him to many places including Miami, MB, Carmen, Treherne, Virden, The Pas, Winnipeg and lastly Thunder Bay. He was the first "run" director for the CIBC Run for the Cure for two proud years. Jack married the love of his life Marilyn and they spent 52 wonderful years together. Jack was an avid sports man; he was even inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame. His summers were spent at his camp at Dog Lake. When he wasn't found at camp, you could find him at Dog River fishing. In his later years, he enjoyed working alongside his daughter at M&M Food Market in Winnipeg. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marilyn (nee Smith); daughter Jodi; brother Lyle; sister-in-law Pat, Diane (Dell), Bonnie (Larry), Lorraine (George), Carmen, Smitty (Stan); brothers-in-law, David and Doug as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. G. Davis, Dr. Mark Vukovich, Joanne Toskovich and all of the Bayshore Home Health staff for all of their care and compassion towards Jack. As per Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Fund or to the CIBC Run for the Cure.
