Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERIKA RICHARDS January 23, 1935 - December 21, 2016 Peacefully, with her son by her side, Erika Richards passed away in Calgary, Alberta. She is survived by her only son, Thomas, numerous nieces and nephews in Germany and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1997. Erika was a feisty woman who knew her own mind; she liked her hair perfect, her cars fast and her coffee strong. She loved taking care of her family, bowling, the opera, traveling and the Rocky Mountains which is where she wanted her ashes to be set free. Erika is now free of her pain. She was a great spirit who loved her friends and family with a particular affection for children. She was loved by many and will be missed.
