KEN CROLLY It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ken Crolly, born May 30, 1948 and passed away on January 2, 2017. Left to mourn his passing are his brother Jack (Darlene); nephew Colin (Jennifer) Crolly; niece Allison (Ken Dessler) Crolly; nieces and nephews, Aiyana, Georgina, Isaac and Jake; and numerous friends and extended family. Ken was predeceased by his son Jason Crolly, and his parents, Jack and Florence Crolly. Ken was born and raised in Winnipeg. He became a professional plumber and pipe fitter who worked on pipelines and in the "oil Patch" in and around Fort McMurray, AB. Ken was known for always having a joke to share, a beer in hand, and an offer to help anyone in need. His plumbing skills were in great demand and he was always quick to help his many acquaintances and family members who requested his assistance, often asking nothing more in return than a beer and a meal. He was an avid golfer, enjoying many games with his son Jason over the years. The golf combined with his enjoyment of fishing provided Ken and those around him, with many hours of pleasure. He loved a good time, and even more so the stories that came of it. Ken's friends meant the world to him and many of his friendships spanned decades. He was not one to let go of a friendship, and never stopped caring about anybody. A gentle soul, the loss of both his son and mother this past year had been a great burden to Ken. A combined celebration of the lives of Ken and Jason Crolly will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Met you through my brothers, you came over to see Leonard all the time, you were best friends. Never got to know you until Leonard passed and then months later when my eldest brother Ken was critical in hospital, by co-incidence your father was in his room. Your parents were a wonderful and very comforting to us both. Ken would come and pick me up from my Mom's and take me to the hospital when he was able. Ken passed Christmas Day and I did not see you very much after that you surprised me and showed up in Vancouver. Got to see what a kind man you were and I did not know that you had passed until I came home recently for another funeral. I was going to call and ask you to come out for a drink, was shocked when Dennis showed me your obituary. So sorry I waited so long, this is a lesson learned, time waits for no one. Maybe we will meet again Ken, rest in peace, you will be missed! Love, Kathy - Posted by: Kathy St. Germain (Friend) on: May 30, 2017

Kenny was always so comical and brilliant. There was no subject that he didn't have a well educated opinion on. As kids he was always up to something entertaining and he never lost that. We always counted on Kenny's sense of humour at our Family gatherings. I will miss your calls on plans for the house and your plans to travel to visit your Friends. You always managed to make my day. Your Family and Penny will surely miss you too. Luv and miss you, Kenny - Posted by: Barb Bright (Cousin) on: Jan 11, 2017

Growing up, I always remember looking at Ken to see what funny thing he was going to do or say next. He has always been that person, who attracted everyone because of his great sense of humour. I'm going to miss his phone calls when he would tell a joke, we would laugh and then he would say ok got to go. Ken was always kind and thoughtful with the biggest heart. Love you Ken! - Posted by: Carol McLeod (Cousin) on: Jan 09, 2017
