Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • My wife and I met Bob when we lived in Ile des Chenes. I spent many happy hours fishing with Bob and playing hockey and cards with him. Bob was a great guy to hang around with and he always had something on the go such as a new business or a project to get rich. We will miss you old friend and may God bless you and your family. • I met Bob through bridge. Len Doerksen paired us up and he was the first good player that I got to play with as a rookie. We had some amazing results and those were thrills that I will never forget. Bob was a friendly guy and never met someone he couldn't talk to. He had energy and was full of fun. I will always treasure the times we spent together and never forget that he was a big part of my becoming a better bridge player. My condolences to the family--Bob spoke often of his family and it was clear that he loved you all. - Posted by: Marielle Decelles-Brentnall (Former bridge partner) on: Jan 13, 2017

  • Bob was a really great guy to have as a friend. Some very memorable bridge tournaments of which he was a part. One where a bunch of us ...at least 10, rented the biggest motorhome you could imagine, and drove to Kansas City for a 10 day tournament..we parked it in the street and showered in the nearest hotel and played some great and some not so great bridge ....but had great time . Another drive to Chicago with me, Andrew ,Kevin and Bob....for a bridge event ..another cherished memory of adventures with Bob. My condolences to the family....Len Doerksen Tuxedo bridge Club - Posted by: Len Doerksen (friend) on: Jan 12, 2017
