JEFF ROBSON With very heavy hearts, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our beloved Jeff Robson, on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his girlfriend Dawn, her children Ashley, Connor and Jordan, his sister Jackie (Randy), nephews Adam and Matthew, and his many, many friends. He was predeceased by his mom Norma on September 21, 2004, and his father Aleck on July 14, 2012. Jeff was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB where he attended Murdoch MacKay Collegiate (Class of 1984) and later the University of Manitoba (Class of 1989) where he received his degree in Business Management. During this time Jeff worked at Assiniboine Downs (1985 to 1994) and HMV (1987 to 2001) both of where he made many lasting friendships. In 1993 Jeff decided to make a change and moved across country to Vancouver, BC where he continued on in his career at HMV. Ever the restless soul, in 2001 Jeff decided he wanted to move to Las Vegas and study hotel and casino management at UNLV. He graduated with his degree in Hospitality Management in 2002. During his first years in Las Vegas Jeff worked at the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and the House of Blues in a variety of roles. In 2010 he took a swing away from entertainment and took a position with the State of Nevada until 2014 when the call of music and entertainment pulled him back and he began working at the Brooklyn Bowl, where he remained until his passing. Jeff's incredible sense of humour and loving, caring spirit left an irreplaceable mark on all those that were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. A testament to his amazing nature is the countless relationships from all of these paths he journeyed in his life that he nurtured until his passing. A celebration of Jeff's life with music, laughter and shared stories will be held at the Kingshead Pub, 120 King Street, Winnipeg on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A celebration of Jeff's life is being planned in Winnipeg and will be confirmed in the longer obituary that will follow.

This is very sad. Jeff was a kind person. I remember he visited me in the hospital after a motorcycle crash in Winnipeg that ended my baseball season. He brought me a pro baseball. I still have it. It was amazing to read the comments from Jeff's numerous friends in Las Vegas, his home for many years. He touched a lot of people in a very profound way. So sorry to hear of Jeffs passing. I remember working at Assiniboia Downs with him in the early 80's. He was a kind person. Never had anything bad to say about anyone.
