RAYMOND ALAN NEUFELD
Date of Passing: Jan 12, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND ALAN NEUFELD Raymond Alan Neufeld, age 61, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Riverview Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer. Ray was a unique personality who tried his hand at many different careers. He discovered early on he had a low tolerance for bosses and found working for himself as a real estate professional suited his personality. He continued with this passion right to the end including his last project, renovating a house with the help of many friends and family. Ray enjoyed travelling and made several long term friendships everywhere he visited. Favourite stops included Belize, Costa Rica and Thailand. Ray is survived by brothers Lyle, Ron and Ken, as well as sisters Darlene and Sherry. He was predeceased by brother Brian, and parents Helen and Herman. Ray requested cremation and his wish was honoured at Thomson "In The Park" Funeral Home. He also requested "No Fanfare" so a private family gathering was held. We hope you all raise a glass (rye press) in memory of Ray.

Ray and I were best friends when his family lived on Machray. Ray would grab me and we would go in his nice Ford to different bars all over the city. We went to the Royal George in Transcona and instead of a band there was a floor show. With I believe were some Asians banging 6ft bamboo sticks together while girls danced and jumped in between the bamboo. We were stunned, but had a great time. He always included me. You are in my heart forever. - Posted by: Darrell Ducharme (friend) on: Feb 06, 2017

I met Ray many years ago as we were both Realtors. He was a fun guy to hang out with and we ran into each other on occasion while celebrating a recent home sale or success at one of the Late Night hotspots. He had a great sense of humour and was always cracking a sarcastic joke about something or someone. Recently I ran into him several times at The Home Depot as he was working on a renovation project. He told me about his battle with Cancer, but still seemed to be upbeat about things. My condolences to his family, friends and anyone who was lucky enough to know him. RIP Ray. - Posted by: Rick Schween (Freind) on: Jan 25, 2017

I'm going to miss raybees. We had our issues and disagreements. We always managed to resolve them. Our last one was never fixed due to time and distance. There is a lesson here. Live like each day could be your last. Love you Ray. - Posted by: Randy harmer (Friend ) on: Jan 18, 2017

Ray was a great friend to so many. We had dated in our teens, reconnecting as friends again a few years ago. The quality I appreciated about Ray most was that he never spoke badly about anyone. Our last conversation was on New Year's Eve. You are missed Ray. May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. My sincere condolences to his family. - Posted by: Karen Albrecht (Friend) on: Jan 18, 2017
