RICHARD (DICK) HEAVER On Sunday, January 15, 2017 Richard (Dick) Heaver, at age 84, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emily, his children Ann (Barry), Barb (Jim), Debbie (Ron) and Rick (Danica), his grandchildren Stacey, Brett, Jeremy, Shonell, Sherry, Jennifer, Scott and Kristi, and his great-grandchildren Carter, Sheamus, Macey, Isabella and Aimee. He will also be dearly missed by his two loving sisters Betty and Gail, as well as his nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father Jack, and sisters Eileen and Marie. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the 17 Wing Chapel - 2235 Silver Ave. (just off of Whytewold Road). Our family would like to thank the Grace Hospital, Home Care, the W.R.H.A. Palliative Care Home Care program and the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care ward for all the help and support they gave us, we could not have travelled this journey without them. In lieu of flowers, donations in honour of Dick's memory can be made directly to St. Boniface Palliative Care Ward on the 8th Floor.

  • I worked at DLCC as icemaker when Dick was the custodian there. He was truly a unique person gruff and grumbling on the outside but also a very funny and caring person on the inside.
