SHELDON COHEN Sheldon Cohen passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 13, 2016. He was a loving husband to Marg LeBlanc; devoted father to Miriam (Alvin), Linda (Fil), Sherrie, and Randi (Tanis), and wonderful family man to the LeBlanc family; Debbie, Gail (Tony), Kelly, Jenny (Randy), Matthew, Ronnie and Ron. He was also an amazing Zaidi to Tara (Mike), Carrie (Jason), Katie, Michael (Joanna), Jessica, Liam and Evan. Shel's greatest joy was being a great-Zaidi to Adam, Hannah, Devon, and Skyla. Shel was surrounded with love and affection by all. Pallbearers on December 15 at Chesed Shel Emes were Filip Zimerman, Alvin Stargarter, Michael Zimerman, Phil Gerson, Paul Knight, and Gabor Vamos. Honourary Pallbearers were Randy Corrigal and Tony Tavares. Shel was born September 2, 1924 in Petaluma, California. His entire career was spent in the aeronautics industry working as an airplane mechanic. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Second World War and the Korean War. He loved everything to do with mechanics and carpentry but was knowledgable about any subject imaginable. Shel was a quiet, unassuming man who availed himself to anyone in need. He will forever be missed by everyone lucky enough to have had him in their lives.
