Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOANNE (STARANCHUK) JOHNSTON September 4, 1951 - January 18, 2017 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joanne after a short but very courageous battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 48 years Gerald; daughters, Kim (Brent), Lee Ann (Lorne) and grandchildren, Lexi, Aiden and Brady. She is also survived by her devoted sisters, Cheryl and Brenda (Neil) as well as many nieces and nephews. Joanne was proud and fortunate that she was able to retire young allowing her more time for her passion of traveling, reading and shopping , however spending time with her family and grandchildren was what she cherished the most. Thank you to all who never let her be alone while she went through her battle, it gave her great comfort and made her feel special and loved, as she truly was. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a future date. I am so saddened to hear of the passing of JoAnne. I cherished our friendship for many years and will miss her. My thoughts are with Gerald, Leanne, Kim and all of her family.
