JOSEPH (JOE) KOWBEL With great sadness, we announce the passing of Joseph Kowbel at Oakview Place Personal Care Home, at the age of 88 years, on Friday, January 20, 2017. Remaining to mourn Joseph's passing are his loving wife of 60 years, Helen; daughter Debbie; nieces and nephews, Ross (Kathy), Margaret (Wayne), Sharon, Jason and Larry; great-nieces and great-nephews, Stacey, Karen and Mark; sister-in-law Doris Grierson and brother-in-law Dan Hrabarchuk. For a number of years, Joseph worked at Commercial Stationers and retired from Dave's Quick Print several years later. His favourite hobbies were fishing and horseback riding. Joseph's Funeral Service will be held this morning, Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, with Rev. Fr. Eric Giddins, presider. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Special thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital and Oakview Place.
