Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPERRY ALEXANDER BULBUCK February 6, 1959 - January 18, 2017 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and great-uncle Perry Alexander Bulbuck at his winter home in Phoenix, AZ. On January 18, 2017, he returned to his heavenly home. Perry was born on February 6, 1959, to Alec and Ida Bulbuk, at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Russell, MB. He was raised in a loving home with four sisters and one brother. He received his life's calling at a very young age due to the sudden passing of his mother. This influenced him wanting to dedicate his own life to serve and support others who experienced death. Perry spent his elementary years in Inglis and attended high school at Major Pratt Collegiate in Russell. After his senior school years, he accepted a position at The Children's Aid Society in Brandon, Manitoba where he found his true passion of working with people. He loved encouraging, guiding and interacting with people of all ages. This led him to pursue his dream of becoming involved in funeral service. In 1981 he fulfilled his life's calling and soul aspiration in acquiring his first funeral home and becoming the director of Braendle-Bruce Funeral Service in Russell, Manitoba. He then went on to earn his Funeral Director and Embalmer's Certificate in 1987 from the Western School of Mortuary Practice. He handled business like he handled life; with passion, determination, precision, attention to detail, care, and accuracy. He was meticulous in all his efforts and was never sidetracked from his purpose. Nothing was ever over-looked, especially when it came to the people he was serving. Besides his business and service to Russell and the growing surrounding area, he continued to support initiatives, held board positions and sat on various committees and took a great interest in politics. In addition, he volunteered many hours serving others due to his compassion and love for the people around him. Perry was an incredible businessman; however, he always took time for those less fortunate and for every child that crossed his path. He had an infectious grin and was always putting a smile on everyone else's face. Always a child at heart he took great joy in spending time with the children in his life. Perry loved swimming, reading, riding a quad and especially spending time at his cabin in the valley with family and friends. The things that were important to him, he accomplished with his whole being. After 35 years of service with Braendle-Bruce, he was applauded for his passion and encouraged to continue for the purpose that God had placed him on earth. It was not hard for Perry as he found his greatest joy in serving others. Perry was predeceased by his mother, Ida. Left to mourn is his loving father, Alec; sisters: Gia Davidson, Cindy St. Hilaire, Beverly Bulbuck, Glenda (Murray) Zimmer; brother Troy Bulbuck, nieces, nephews, Tara (Dwayne), Emily, Jessica Sydor; Travis (Kerri) Davidson; Amanda, Dominyck, Michael, Sami St. Hilaire; Jamie, Vander, Brooklyn St. Hilaire; Brianne, Katarina Zimmer; Brandon, Kyla and Jayden Bulbuck. Also left to grieve are aunts, uncles, many other extended family members, friends and his work family. He leaves behind a legacy and will be greatly missed by those he knew and influenced during his life. "Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard His call; I turned my back and left it all." The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the George P. Buleziuk Centre, Russell with interment at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Lennard. A public visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from the Braendle-Bruce Funeral Chapel, Russell, and on Saturday from the George P. Buleziuk Centre prior to the service. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 3J2, or to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery Fund, c/o Living Legacy Community Foundation, P.O. Box 1343, Russell, Manitoba, R0J 1W0. Remembrances and condolences may be emailed to braendlebruce@mts.net Braendle-Bruce Funeral Service of Russell, MB in care of arrangements. (204) 773-2747

I will never forget the beautiful smile and heartfelt laughter Perry generated as a young adult. The loss of Mrs. Ida, Perry's mom, who was so young when she died left all of us in a state of fear, worrying every night that we too could lose our mothers in a blink of an eye. I am sure that the death of Mrs Bulbuck set Perry on his pathway to becoming the most caring, attentive, kind, personable, generous individual who recognized the need to support others during the most difficult and challenging of life experiences--the death of a loved one. Bless you Perry for all the support you have given throughout your all too short life. Arlene - Posted by: Arlene Burla de la Rocha (Old friend) on: Feb 14, 2017

Perry's passion and love shone through for each family served through Braendle-Bruce. I have always remembered the care and compassion shown my mother Minnie Metz on the death of my father, Carl; then again on mom's passing three years ago. Perry, your angel wings will light up the world. - Posted by: Carol Metz Murray () on: Jan 27, 2017

I was shocked to hear of Perry's sudden passing. He did not share in the many vices of our youth. His humor and kindness are remembered as an alter boy with Brock, Grant and I, and of times traveled hundreds of miles together playing hockey. Perry's dad and uncle always treating us to burgers, fries and pop after the games. Our family will not forget his kindness and generosity at our father's funeral 21 years ago. Bulbucks and Gulaks were close. His mother Ida and my mother were the best of friends. They too passed far too soon. How proud they would have been of Perry's success and generosity. Condolences to all his family and those that had the pleasure to know him. Brian Gulak and family - Posted by: Brian Gulak and family () on: Jan 25, 2017
