• Although I had not seen him in many years, I remember Grandad as a quiet, gentle man. He taught me to fish, and I remember catching my first fish with him at the Lake Manitoba Narrows. I very much wanted to release it back into the wild, however the fish was not so lucky. Grandad was very sweet about it and helped me not feel so sad. • We wish to extend to you, Robert's Daughter Gail, and Son John, our "Deepest, & Most Heartfelt Sympathy" in the loss of Your Dear Father "Bob"...We spent quite a few very nice visits with Him, {mostly in Ashern Chicken Chef}. • Robert has been a very dear friend for a long time. He was my neighbour across the hall and when I made suppers or goodies, I would take some to him. I also was always looking for books that he would like, pick up his mail and run other errands for him. I often had him join our family for dinners at Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving and we always enjoyed his company. We had many talks and I found him to be a very smart and interesting man.
