Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Although I had not seen him in many years, I remember Grandad as a quiet, gentle man. He taught me to fish, and I remember catching my first fish with him at the Lake Manitoba Narrows. I very much wanted to release it back into the wild, however the fish was not so lucky. Grandad was very sweet about it and helped me not feel so sad. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Aaron Newman (Grandson) on: Feb 18, 2017

  • Dear Dad Looking through the stack of cards I always keep on hand for all occasions, this time looking for Valentine cards to send to family, I came across one I had bought for you and mom with the intention of sending it to you one Valentines Day. This is what it said...... Thinking of you Mother and Dad, You can always count on your parents Because they are always there With so many ways of showing you How much they really care. You can always trust in your parents love, For no matter what life brings That special love is always One of life's most precious things. • Robert has been a very dear friend for a long time. He was my neighbour across the hall and when I made suppers or goodies, I would take some to him. I also was always looking for books that he would like, pick up his mail and run other errands for him. I often had him join our family for dinners at Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving and we always enjoyed his company. We had many talks and I found him to be a very smart and interesting man. My girls and I loved Robert very much and will miss him terribly. My deepest sympathy to Gail, Mike and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. - Posted by: Ann Gislason (friend) on: Jan 25, 2017
