FRED A. HILL Romans 6:23 The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. He has gone to be with Jesus In that land of fadeless day Where the flowers are ever blooming And all tears are wiped away He has gone and we will miss him But someday beyond the sky We will see him in the glory We shall see him by and by He has gone to that fair city Where the living waters flow Where the shadows never lengthen And he knows no grief or woe He has gone where sin and sorrow Pain and sickness never come He has made the journey safely And at last arrived at home He will welcome us to heaven We will see him face to face And together tell the story Of the Saviour's matchless grace Ever remembered for your love and care for us: your wife, Marion (Marnie), children, Catherine, George, James, Susanne and David, along with their spouses and precious grandchildren: Timothy, Andrew, Rebecca, Ian, Danielle, Emily, Laura, Michelle and Mark.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I remember Fred and Marion as kind, loving people with their children and friends at Elim Chapel. I also remember going to Union Gospel Meetings with Marion.I just want to say Fred and Marion set a wonderful example of living the Christian life. I have thought of them many times over the years and do miss them. Thank you both for allowing Christ to live in and through you!!!! - Posted by: Carolellen Cannon (knew Fred through Elim Chapel, Wpg) on: Apr 23, 2017

  • It was always a pleasure to connect with Fred Hill at the UGM's Christian Youth Centre on Pritchard Ave. He served many years there, as did his son George, whom I got to know, too. Fred was known and loved by many of the inner city children and youth. His large footsteps were not easily filled, and, the kind of program that he led, really never was. Fred was a godly man with great enthusiasm and a magnetic personality, who was looked up to by all who knew him. The Lord had truly blessed the Inner City with the best, while Fred served there. I'm sad to hear of his passing, and for his family's loss, but rejoice for him in his promotion to glory, having been welcomed and received by Our Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus, and re-united with those who have preceded him. - Posted by: Rev Bruce Yarrow (Colleague - both worked at the UGM's Christian Youth Centre ) on: Jan 29, 2017
