JAKE EDIGER (SHAKER) January 1, 1938 - January 26, 2017 Peacefully and surrounded by love, Shaker passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Shaker will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Eileen (Penner); his children, Alan (Cindy), Alana (Mike), Jack (Erwin), stepchildren, Tim, Rob, Dennis (Nicole), Mike (Ange); numerous grand and great-grandchildren, as well as many friends from Winkler Golf Club and Morden Legion. A celebration of Shaker's life will be held Wednesday, February 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1111 Southview Drive, Winkler. As per his wishes, cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Morden Legion Branch 11, 285 N Railway, Morden R6M 1T1 or Canadian Cancer Society, online or 193 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.

  • I am truly sorry for your loss. I remember joining a golfing tournament with Shaker and Eileen and Jack in Winkler. Shaker was unlucky and got me as a golf partner! We had a great time and many laughs. He will be missed by his grandchildren Noah and Paige. Noah enjoyed playing card games with his Grandpa Shaker.   • He was a good uncle and memories of him living on Grandview st in North Kildonan always come to my mind.
