Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE SMERCH (nee KOSOWAN) January 18, 1924 - January 26, 2017 It is with great sadness the family announces that Marie Smerch, aged 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Riverview Health Centre. Marie will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Brian and wife Sharon, Glen and wife Julie, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Mike, her parents Petro and Safta Kosowan, her brothers John, Bill and George, her sisters Olga Wolfe and Vickie Motkaluk. The family extends special thanks to the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Centre - CD3. Cremation has taken place. Private family memorial service to be held at a later date. Vichnaya Pam'yat

Brian, Glen and families, I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Marie's passing. I have many fond memories of your family visiting us in Malonton many years ago. Your mom and dad were such wonderful people. When we came to Winnipeg to visit we always felt so welcomed. Your mom always made sure we shared a meal before we left. Your mom was a ver talented and loving lady. Marie always welcomed us into her home when we visited. Have fond memories of going over there. She wouldn't let us leave until we had something to eat and everything she served was amazing and so delicious. I will always remember her as a kind, warm and generous person. Rest In Peace, Marie.
