Cannot believe Dorothy has died as we just had lunch the week before Xmas and planned on getting together this month as she knew I was going to be away in Jan. Would one of the family please call me 204 889-4259 when they are up to it. I hired Dorothy to work as my temporary secretary for a few months-----she was so good at her job that I talked my former secretary into moving to another area of Manitoba Health so I could keep Dorothy-----then the fun began we had to work miracles to find a permanent position for Dorothy and eventually we did. She became my right arm -----learned all about our area of work, kept our budget on track, knew all the staff and their work habits,----she was a wonder. We became fast friends and stayed connected even after I retired. She was a loyal, fun, intelligent, generous, lovely woman, and I and her many friends will miss her dearly. - Posted by: marjorie lowther (I worked with Dorothy for 10 years and we were friends) on: Feb 06, 2017

I am so saddened to hear of Dorothy`s sudden passing. I spoke to her at length ever so recent after Jack`s passing. My late husband, Len, and I spent many, many years together with Jack and Dorothy - playing cards and many other board games or just visiting, enjoying a cool one. It is with fondness that I remember the many July long weekends that Jack and Dorothy came to our cottage at Dauphin River. I offer my deepest sympathy to all of her children and her many friends, who will miss her immensely as I will. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Joey LaVallee (Long Time Friend) on: Feb 05, 2017

So sorry to hear about Dorothy's passing. I knew Dorothy from our MB Health days. Dorothy had good work ethics and was a pleasure to work with. I remember the time when after work, we were walking together to meet up with our bus and something had happened around the MTS Centre and police had taped off the whole block. It was a cold winter day, and we were not going to detour another block away, so we went under the tape. WELL, one police officer caught us and gave us heck. I always joked with Dorothy after that, saying that if we had both landed up together in jail, I couldn't think of a better person to have as a bunk mate! That and our husbands would likely leave us there. Thank you for the memories Dorothy! I know you are now with your husband who you loved with all your heart. See you on the flip side my friend. - Posted by: Darlene Sorin (Friend/Coworker) on: Feb 04, 2017
