WILHELMINA (MIMI) SMOLDERS (nee VAN RENNES) Peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the age of 90 years, Mimi passed away. She is survived by her sons Bernard and Robert (Debbie) and grandchildren Jennifer (Curtis Cornelsen), Carla, Cora, Jackie, Trina and Elaine, great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Robert, sister-in-law Tina, friends Janice, Heather, Margaret and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Bernard Smolders, son Paul and daughter Monica. Mimi was born in Utrecht, Holland on March 29, 1926 and immigrated to Canada in 1953. She was very proud of her Dutch Heritage. Mimi enjoyed swimming, the outdoors, visits to Pinawa, Lac du Bonnet, and in later years, St. Vital Park. She did needlepoint, puzzles, and knitting. Mimi loved the company of her family and friends. She worked as a Health Care Aide for many years. Cremation has taken place and a private funeral interment has occurred. Celebration of life in Mimi's memory will take place at a later date.
