Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) FURBER October 7, 1935 - February 4, 2017 Suddenly, but peacefully Bill fell asleep with his wife by his side at Concordia Hospital. He is survived by Pat his wife and best friend of 48 years; daughter Jean Poole (children Chris and Pam); son Bill and his wife Patti (children Daniel and Curtis), son Ken, son Leonard, stepson Dave Kowal (children Nickolas and Justice); four great- grandchildren as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews... He was predeceased by his parents Len and Jean and his brothers Harvey and Harold as well as his parents-in-law Jack and Olive Jarman. Bill was born in Transcona and lived there most of his life. He drove a truck hauling gravel to Winnipeg Supply cement plant and then drove a cement mixer for Winnipeg Supply and later Building Products and Astra Concrete. He retired when he was 62 and then just puttered around the garage and worked on his vehicles fixing everything that wasn't broken. Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest at Transcona Cemetery in August.
