AILEEN ANN PATRICIA CARTWRIGHT (nee MURPHY) March 8, 1921 - January 17, 2017 Ann passed away peacefully with her loving daughter Gail, son Brian, daughter-in-law Shelley and special friend Marianne Seares at her side. Ann was predeceased by her mother (Mildred), father (Griffith), husband Harold, sister Shirley (brother-in-law James), and brother-in-law William (Bill) Cartwright. She is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara, nephew Alan, wife Paula and their children Alec, Justin and Melissa, niece Diana and husband Brian Kaun, and nephew James (Jim) Innes and wife Gail. Born in Carberry, MB, Ann was two years old when her parents moved to Brandon, MB. Ann loved horses and spent many happy days riding at Clear Lake, MB and Brandon. As a young woman she moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband Harold. They were married in 1947 and started a family. Many wonderful memories were formed over the years at the family cottage in Victoria Beach, MB where family and friends from Victoria, BC gathered. In 1980, Mom and Dad moved to Victoria, BC but continued to spend summers at Victoria Beach. While Ann was an animal lover, she also enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and taking cruises with Dad. Maui was a favourite destination, often shared with family and close friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Senior Living in North Vancouver for their care, kindness and compassion over the past three years. A heartfelt thank you to her devoted friend, companion and nurse Marianne Seares. Ann will be dearly missed by her family, as well as all who knew her.
