NELSON MCDONALD August 18, 1924 - February 11, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce that Nelson McDonald passed away peacefully in Cochrane, Alberta at the age of 92. Nelson was born in Vivian, Manitoba to Frank and Minnie McDonald. He was proud to serve in the Second World War from 1942 to 1945 in Europe as an Artillery Gunner, and enjoyed his career as an Electrician. He was blessed to have 61 years with his dear wife, Irma. Nelson lived a full, active life and he loved the outdoors and his many, many walks "in the bush". He had a great love for animals. He leaves his grandpuppies Marci, Molly, and kitties Sophie, Herbie and they will miss his many visits. He will be missed beyond words by his beloved son Darrell and his wife Debbie; his brother Ronald (Gladys); and all of his extended family. Nelson was predeceased by his wife Irma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society.
