Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I hadn’t seen Stuart since high school but found him to be a good guy as classmates and knew his sister as well and wish her comfort after losing her beloved brother. I know it’s been a few years and I’m sorry to not express my condolences sooner. God bless his family and loved ones. • Dear Thickson family, I am so shocked and saddened to read of Stuart's passing. We went to school together and lived down the street from each growing up. - Posted by: Karen Toews (Former school friend) on: Apr 01, 2017

  • Diane and children. I am not sure if you remember me. I was an EA at Mapleton school when Stuart first became ill. I remember your family with fondness. Your children were always a credit to you at school. My thoughts are with you, at this very difficult time. - Posted by: Hilary Downing (Aquaintance) on: Feb 24, 2017

  • Diane and family Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. May time ease the sorrow you feel today. The Brennans - Posted by: Doreen and Bob Brennan () on: Feb 20, 2017

  • It doesn't seem so long ago that I met Stuart while we both waited for kids in the MTYP lobby. He looked so professional in a long dark coat, and he was instantly friendly, with a big smile on his face. Shortly after that, Stuart's health took a turn - one we all fear, yet he seemed to face the struggles with such grace and that same smile. Over the next few weeks and years, we were so blessed to spend some time with your wonderful family. Though we see you infrequently now, it has been great to see you and the kids on occasion, and so nice to the kids paths cross again. Please accept some hugs, prayers and condolences from all of us. - Posted by: The Bytheways (Friends) on: Feb 18, 2017

  • My thoughts go out to the Thickson family during this difficult time. I would like to share my brief story, to tell the family that though I may not know you all personally Stuart made a large impact in my life and I am so thankful to have known him. Stuart was an amazing person. He was a light for me during some of the most difficult moments in my life. I would like to say that I would not be in such a happy place in my life now, were it not for knowing him. He was an inspiration, he encouraged me to seek my dreams and happiness. I can only hope to be as helpful to someone else as he was for me. Forever in my thoughts and heart. - Posted by: Karly Owens (Past co worker) on: Feb 18, 2017
