MARY VALENTINE Tears were shed, but joy has prevailed! I am so proud to say that I was a friend of Mary's. She was amazing, hilarious, gifted and spontaneous - a morning coffee morphed into a spectacular dinner party, simply by collecting the group of friends who dropped by during the day to say hi. Who could forget the famous penguin mural? Instead of a formal wedding party we chose instead one of Mary's famous gazebo parties! It could not have been sweeter. Then there was the lobster and crab, and lots of wine, where she reached for her brown paper and this famous artist painted our portraits. Mary was pure joy. If she lived another 100 years, she still would have passed too soon!
