ELEANOR LABOVICH It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eleanor Labovich on February 18, 2017 at the age of 85. She leaves to cherish her memory her son David of Winnipeg, and her daughter Laura and grandson Aaron of Calgary. She will be missed by her many friends who valued her kindness. She was predeceased by her former husband and life-long friend Ernie Labovich in 2011. Eleanor was born and raised in Toronto, then lived with Ernie and their children in New York City in the 1960s before returning with them to Toronto for a few years and then settling in Winnipeg in 1971. She loved to listen to the CBC on the radio and follow current events or hear authors discussing their books. She was interested in jazz music and loved to sing. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed mystery novels. Most of all, she helped and encouraged her children. A memorial reception has already been held. In her memory, please consider a donation to a charity dear to Eleanor's heart, Operation Eyesight, Suite 200, 4 Parkdale Crescent NW, Calgary, AB T2N 3T8. The family would like to thank the caring staff on the second floor of the Grace Hospital.
